Sharad Malhotra celebrates Bhai Dooj in Kolkata



The pandemic has taught us many things in life. But most significantly , it taught us to value every moment. You never know what’s getting to happen tomorrow. i used to be missing my family for long. So, I took an opportunity to return and meet them,” said actor Sharad Malhotra, who is in Kolkata after almost 10 months to celebrate Bhai Dooj with sister, Reema, and his cousins.


Travelling blues

Travelling amid the pandemic wasn’t easy for the actor. “I thought there would hardly be any passenger, but to my surprise the flight was full! Though the attendants were strict about masks and face shields, it had been really suffocating. I guess, people have adapted to the new normal and that they just want to urge out of their homes after remaining confined for therefore long.”

Celebrations Bhai Dooj

Talking about Bhai Dooj celebrations  , the actor said, “I am having an excellent time here. My sister and cousins organised a grand lunch. From starters to the most course, everything was cooked . I met my cousins after almost a year. it had been a fun get-together, which was long due. My parents were happy too. Sadly, my wife, Ripci, couldn’t visit this point due to some work.”

Spending the lockdown days

Unlike many that cribbed about being stuck reception , Sharad said he had a very blast . “Actors like us have a really hectic schedule. We hardly get to spend time reception . The lockdown gave me a chance to spend quality time with my wife. We shopped online, cooked together, shared all the household chores — it had been a special quite experience. I also developed a keen interest in gardening. Though I even have limited potted plants at my Mumbai residence, I still enjoyed taking care of them.”

On the work front

Work-wise, Sharad is during a happy zone. His character, Veer, within the supernatural thriller, Naagin 5, is already successful with the audience. The actor couldn’t contain his excitement when he said, “I never expected this type of a response from the audience, which too for a negative role. I feel overwhelmed. Shoots are happening smoothly and that we are taking all safety precautions on the set. Talks are on for a few of latest projects, which ready to |i'll"> i will be able to be able to share, hopefully, in February. Keeping my fingers crossed.”
